Laptop Setup Guide
Stuff to install when setting up a new laptop
First things first
Make sure you have updated your laptop to the latest version of Windows.
Create a Windows account
Go to Settings > Accounts > Family & other people.
Select Add someone else to this PC.
Enter your Microsoft account information or create a new account.
Personalize your Windows experience
Go to Settings > Personalization.
Choose your background, colors, lock screen, and themes.
Login with personal Gmail account and turn on sync
Activate Windows from Command Prompt
Install important software
Anti-virus software (e.g. Windows Defender, Avast, AVG, etc.)
Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox and set it as default
Microsoft Office (if not pre-installed) and activate it
Adobe Acrobat Reader
Keepass XC for Windows and sync Keepass database file from Android
Revo Uninstaller
IDM
Configurations
Turn on Windows Update to ensure your laptop is updated with the latest security patches.
Go to Settings > Privacy and review your privacy settings.
Go to Settings > Update & Security > Backup, and set up a backup system to protect your data.
Turn on BitLocker encryption for added security (if your laptop has the feature)

: Choose what happens when the lid is closed
Install drivers
Go to the manufacturer's website and download the latest drivers for your laptop.
Install the drivers in the order recommended by the manufacturer.
Customize the Start menu
Right-click on the Start button and select "Settings."
Choose "Personalization" and then "Start."
Pin the apps you use the most by right-clicking on them and selecting "Pin to Start."
Organize your files
Create a folder structure to store your files and documents.
Copy your important files from your old laptop or other storage devices to your new laptop.
Enable remote access
Go to Settings > System > Remote Desktop, and turn on Remote Desktop.
This will allow you to access your laptop from another device.
